Contracts and Renewals:

Coax services (such as Broadband) can be renewed at any time, usually involving a speed upgrade that is considered an enhancement. This process requires signing new paperwork, and the effective date will be adjusted accordingly. On the other hand, Fiber services (like EDI) cannot be renewed more than 6 months of the expiration date.

When it comes to paperwork, Comcast has strict requirements. Extra writing is not allowed, and pages must be initialed and signed as needed.  Sometimes, these stringent paperwork requirements are only revealed after the order is submitted, which could result in the need to fill out additional paperwork.

Once the contract for Broadband services expires, it will automatically switch to a Month-to-Month agreement with Comcast. During this transition, any previous discounts or promotions may be discontinued, potentially leading to an increase in monthly charges. Customers have the flexibility to renew their contract at any time, which can often result in access to higher speeds and lower prices, making it a beneficial choice for them.

Once Dedicated and Advanced services reach their expiration, they too transition to a Month-to-Month agreement BUT typically without changes in pricing. However, there is a great opportunity for customers to potentially upgrade to higher speeds at a lower cost.
